Today's
low tide came just an hour before sunset. Without an assistant I had to
do a design that could be done alone quickly. Given the fact that the
day before I got splotches of oil on my feet, hands, and equipment, I
decided to go with this danger symbol, to call attention to the ongoing
state of our beaches. A man who had been camping at a choice location on
the beach edge for several weeks was coincidentally packing up his gear
and heading for higher ground. The reason: he had received an omen of
major earthquake activity. He interpreted my danger design as alluding
to this coming natural disaster. We'll see what transpires...
